Kenneth J. Dobson
1926 - 2006

The Cougar Football Program is sad to announce the passing of one of the most caring and sincere men the Pulaski County School system has ever known. Friday night (September 15) after the Cougar football game, Coach Kenneth J. Dobson went home. Later that night he had a massive heart attack. Unfortunately, he did not survive. According to his wife and the doctors, his passing came quickly and he did not suffer.

As much as I know everyone hates to see him go, it seems somehow fitting that he spent his last night on this earth at the stadium that bears his name, on the field that he planted the first grass on, watching the team and the kids that he cared so much for.

Heaven got a little bit nicer today, and while we will certainly mourn the loss of such a caring and kind man, we will always have the memories of the good times with him.

The public viewing and memorial service for Mr. Dobson will be on Monday. The viewing will begin at 5:30 pm at the Dublin United Methodist Church. The funeral service will begin at 8 pm. I would expect a large crowd, so you may want to get there early to pay your respects. All are welcome. There will be a private family burial on Tuesday.
