02/15/2013 - Blevins commits to Ferrum Panthers (The Southwest Times)

- King-Sized Whirlwind Lands Cougar DE at VMI (Courtesy of The Southwest Times) - Whirlwinds are normally scary.  But the one swirling around James King of late has the Pulaski Cougar senior defensive end all smiles these days.  You see, King, for as long as he can remember, has wanted to play Division I football....more

- Cougars fall to Salem in a Heartbreaker, 17-14 -
There are a hundred things that you want to say or write at a time like this, but in the end nothing will change the fact that the Pulaski County Cougar football team fell to the Salem Spartans by a final score of 17-14.  The loss was made even more bitter by the fact that Pulaski played well enough to win, but still came up just short of advancing to the Region 4 championship game next week.  "I hate for it to end," said Cougar Head Coach Todd Jones....more

- Twelve Cougars recognized on All-River Ridge District team - The Pulaski County Cougar football team had twelve young men selected this past weekend for the All-River Ridge District football team, an honor voted on by the coaches of the district.  To be selected for this team, a player must first be nominated by his own coach.  During the voting, that coach cannot vote for his own player, so a player must have impressed the other coaches during the season to earn their votes.  Pulaski placed one player on the first team offense.  Senior Marcus McClanahan was named as one of the first team running backs......more

- Cougars hoping to break the streak - It's happened five times in the past, and in all five occasions the results have been the same.  The Pulaski County football team is hoping to change that this week, as the Cougars travel to Salem Stadium to face off with the Spartans in the second round of the Region 4, Division 4 playoffs.....more

11/09/2012 -
OH OH!!!  Cougars Dominate Magna Vista 32-0! - Back in September the Cougar football team took the trip to Ridgeway to face off against the Magna Vista Warriors, and the results were not what the team, the coaches, or the fans wanted.  The loss was bad enough, but what made it even worse was the long ride home afterwards.   The Warriors got a chance to experience that same feeling Friday night after Pulaski County completely dominated them in a lopsided 32-0 win....more

- Cougars head into playoffs against familiar opponent - Flashback to week five of the regular season and you'll know exactly what to expect this Friday night as the Pulaski County Cougars host the Magna Vista Warriors in round one of the Region 4, Division 4 playoffs.  In that game six weeks ago, Pulaski scored the first touchdown of the night, but quickly fell behind as the Warriors went on an offensive attack.....more

- Salem sails past Pulaski for RRD crown
The Salem Spartans held Pulaski County to just 37 yards rushing Friday night on their way to a 28-14 win over the Cougars.  The win finishes a perfect 10-0 regular season for the Spartans, and moves the Cougars to 5-5.  "We knew they were a good team, but we missed some chances again tonight" said a disappointed Cougar Head Coach Todd Jones....more

- Spartan JVs rout Cougars
The Pulaski County Cougar JV football team ended their season on the road Thursday night, and the result was not anywhere near what they were hoping for as they fell 48-0 to the Salem Spartans....more

- Throw out the records, it's Salem week! - With a win this week Pulaski County could finish in this spot. With a loss this week Pulaski County could finish in that spot.  Right now, nobody cares.  It's Salem week and the only thing that matters is Friday night at Kenneth J. Dobson Stadium as the Cougars prepare to host the Spartans in what is always one of the most highly anticipated games of the season.  No team on the Pulaski County schedule draws as much attention.....more
